Who is eligible?
Any child with a life threatening illness up to the age of 18 years old is eligible to be considered for having a wish granted. In order to honor the privacy of the family, Wish Upon a Star will not openly solicit the granting of wishes, we work primarily on a referral basis. Only with initial contact by the family or their physician will a formal application be sent.
Upon receiving an application, a meeting of the board of directors will be called to evaluate the request. This committee will determine the validity of the request and whether or not Wish Upon a Star can grant the request.
